The vision and planning for our museum was 10 years in the making. In August 1999, our visionaries spoke about creating a place that would be a source of extended learning for children and parents in our community. They recognized the need for hands on play and emphasized the importance of creating a space where children could touch and feel history and culture and highlight our community's character and events.
